It would be a model of an economic union of the countries of the region that would cooperate with the EU until each country's full membership

As news has been arriving from the European administration that an economic partnership could be offered to the Western Balkan countries instead of full EU membership, a Plan B emerged, crystallized with the insistence of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, regarding enhanced regional cooperation, the daily Kurir writes.

According to an unnamed source from diplomatic circles, this would be a model of an economic union of the countries of the region, which would cooperate with the EU until each country's full membership.

"The Western Balkans needs to connect better. It would be a model of an economic union where all countries cooperate, economically strengthening their markets and, when the time comes for accession, enter the EU as economically strong countries," the newspaper's source explained.

According to this daily, Vucic received support for the idea of a close regional cooperation from Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic.
