The first Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Ivica Dacic, received today a delegation of deputies, businessmen and local officials of the Republic of Turkey who are in Serbia at the invitation of Dragan Markovic Palma, President of United Serbia, Member of the National Assembly and President of the City Assembly of Jagodina.

It was agreed that bilateral relations were excellent and that political dialogue was intensive, which was particularly helped by the successful visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Serbia this month.

Both sides expressed their willingness to continue to improve cooperation in all areas of common interest.

"Serbia was among the first to support Turkey in the fight against terrorism," Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said on the occasion.

Both sides agreed that economic cooperation is an important segment in building good neighborly relations and overall stability in the region.

This visit has already yielded results since Turkish delegation chief Hussein Sahin invited the owner of the Aero East factory, Miroljub Matic - who is already present in that market - to at the end of the month travel to Bursa, Turkey's industrial center, in order to establish cooperation between this Serbian businessman and large Turkish companies.

Today's meeting was attended by President of United Serbia and President of the City Assembly of Jagodina Dragan Markovic Palma, while the delegation from Turkey will visit the Assembly of the Republic of Serbia tomorrow and have a meeting with the Serbian-Turkish friendship parliamentary group.
