Armed Greek hooligans storm Bosnian fans' hotel: They lined us up, stripped us, then hell started
The football match between Greece and BiH, which the hosts won 2-1, brought a lot of tensions off the pitch, which led to a clash in a hotel where the BiH supporters were staying.
According to the website SportSport.ba, about 40 AEK hooligans broke into the hotel armed with pistols, baseball bats wrapped with wire, and bars.
There were about seven or eight BiH fans and about 40 AEK ones. One BiH fan described what real hell looked and how the Greeks stripped them of their jerseys and scarves.
"The Greeks lined us up and then started questioning us: Are you from Bosnia? Are you fascists? When our answer to the second question was negative, they started to take off our jerseys off to see if we had tattoos. While doing this, they were shouting and scraping baseball bats on the floor to intimidate us as much as possible."
They saw something they didn't like on one fan, and struck him in the head.
"One of us was picked and he got hit in the head. Everything only lasted a few minutes, but it felt like hours. After that, relief followed. Then an older character, aged between forty and fifty, came out of the group and said that everything would be fine now and that he would let us go." That happened and the Greek hooligans quickly left the hotel terrace with trophies in the form of a pair of supporter scarves."
