Pristina media: Haradinaj's cabinet spent more than 600,000 euros on restaurants
Former prime minister of the provisional Pristina institutions Ramush Haradinaj and his associates spent nearly 700,000 euros on restaurants during their less than two years in power, Pristina-based Koha daily writes.
The report said that the exact amount of this expenditure is 672,223 eros, while a total of 5 million had been set aside from the Kosovo budget for overall costs.
This data, Koha writes, was given in a statement on expenditures, which was forwarded from the government based on a request for access to public information.
Koha writes that the requested information was not provided by competent institutions within the deadline, but only after a complaint was lodged with the citizen's ombudsman.
The article also says that the data provided is not in line with the request, as it represents a cumulative sum of expenditures for some categories that include all cabinet employees, but not Haradinaj's expenses separately.
According to official data, the prime minister's office spent a total of 4,885,189 euros, of which 672,223.14 on lunches alone - while 688,224.39 euros was spent on supplies of food and non-alcoholic beverages.
