Taxi drivers will protest in Belgrade once again today against those associations who do their business through mobile applications. It will be their 12th protest gathering.

According to the taxi drivers' announcements, the situation in the streets of Belgrade today will be similar to yesterday, as the protest will be continue by means of "radicalized methods" - during the afternoon rush hour, from 2 pm until 5 pm.

A column of cars coming from the New Belgrade side will first merge onto the Gazela Bridge, while the second will completely block Slavija Square, as well as all roads within at least one kilometer.

This means that in addition to the usual locations that will be closed, such as Nikole Pasica Square, Kneza Milosa Street, Takovska Street, the stretch from Slavija to Sava Square, and a part of Kralja Aleksandra Boulevard - traffic will also come to a complete standstill in Oslobodjenja Boulevard, Mekenzijeva Street, Beogradska and Kralja Milana streets and other roads leading from Slavija Square to different parts of the city.

A series of minor and major incidents were reported in the city yesterday, primarily due to the blockade of the public transport system.

Near the government building in Nemanjina Street the police arrested two men, at least one of whom was a taxi driver. There had been heated exchanges between citizens and taxi drivers in Sava Square yesterday.

What do you think?

When we asked on our website if Belgrade taxi drivers are right to protest in this way, there were close to 300 comments, while as many as 73 percent of our readers chose the answer "No, they are by no means right - should everyone who's not happy take to the streets" in our poll.

About 26 percent of our readers believe that taxi drivers are in the right, but more than half of them disagree with blockades as a means of achieving their goals.
