Arrests in the wake of brutal assault in Vranje: Father and son hit man with car after an attack
Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Vranje have arrested D.S., 51, a resident of this city, on suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of violent conduct, as well as M.DJ. (33), also from Vranje, suspected of the criminal offense of inflicting serious bodily harm.
On the order of the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Vranje, the police will also file criminal charges against three men aged 42, 24 and 21 under regular proceedings on suspicion that they inflicted serious bodily harm, while another man, aged 24, will have a criminal complaint filed against him for the criminal offense of inflicting minor injury.
It's suspected that M.DJ., and the three men aged 24, 21, and 42 physically assaulted a 24-year-old man in a cafe in Vranje on October 13, causing serious bodily harm.
D.S. and his injured 24-four-year-old son then got in a Ford and began driving around the city, and then allegedly used the vehicle to strike the 42-year-old, who is suspected of previously assaulting the son.
They then got out of the car and allegedly used blunt objects to attack the 42-year-old man and M.DJ., who escaped to a bakery.
By order of the Deputy Prosecutor of the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Vranje, D.S. and M.DJ. have been placed in custody for up to 48 hours, after which they will be brought before the prosecution along with a criminal complaint.
