Exclusive: Neuer speaks for Telegraf about Red Star, its fans, and his conversation with Marin
Bayern Munich convincingly defeated Red Star 3-0 in their first group stage match of the Champions League, that saw Bavarian goalkeeper Manuel Neuer pull off another clean sheet.
After the game, the keeper of the Munich side took a little time to speak to Telegraf.rs and comment on the performance of his friend Marko Marin, as well as the chance the Red Star player missed.
"Of course I spoke with him. He looks different, he plays different, he was really like a child when we played together. His skills are amazing in my opinion, he's very calm when he has the ball and he has good positioning. He did a great job tonight, he had a chance but we have very good defenders so it wasn't easy for him," said Neuer.
Neuer also conveyed his impressions from the match against Red Star, as well as the atmosphere created by the visiting fans:
"The fans were great tonight, and our opponent wasn't that good. I think they play better when they play at home."
