Twist in Jabukovac massacre investigation: Neighbor arrested, 100,000 euros missing?
A neighbor of the murder victim Raja Kazimirovic (72) was arrested on suspicion of having participated in the quadruple murder on August 7 in the village of Jabukovac near Negotin, in eastern Serbia.
Kazimirovic's mother Dragica Kazimirovic (93), his sister Ljubinka Oprikic (76) and his niece Dragana Jozeljic (53) were also murdered.
The neighbor was arrested for illegal possession of a hunting rifle, and the police are checking whether that weapon was used to kill the victims.
The suspect had been at odds with the Kazimirovics, but there is still no direct evidence that he committed the crime. The victims were killed using two different weapons and it's increasingly clear that there were two perpetrators who knew where the the family kept their money.
It is suspected that between 100,000 and 150,000 were taken - and it's interesting that the 2,000 euros that were among the belongings of the sister and her daughter were not stolen.
