Serbian citizen arrested in Hungary with stolen car worth 60,000 euros
The Hungarian police seized a stolen Audi A6 Avant car at the border crossing Roszke, driven by a Serbian citizen, Hungarian press is reporting.
The Serbian citizen, who has not yet been identified, crossed the Horgos border crossing between Serbia and Hungary on Sunday, intending to enter Hungary via Roszke.
However, the border police found that he was driving a car that had been stolen in Germany earlier, that is, the vehicle was listed in the database of stolen cars in that EU country.
It is also unknown if the arrested driver stole the expensive car or bought or rented it without knowing it was stolen.
The police estimated the car is worth just over 60,000 euros.
