We reveal details of Serbia's "offensive" on US Congress: World will finally hear about KLA crimes
Belgrade is launching a real diplomatic offensive on the US in the fall to provide the public and officials there with a true picture of the situation in Kosovo and Metohija, as well as the monstrous crimes committed by the terrorist KLA (Kosovo Liberation Army) against Serbs.
A discussion will be held in the US Congress, at which representatives of the Serbian parliament will speak about the history of the conflict in the southern Serbian province.
It will be an opportunity to present new evidence against the outgoing prime minister of the provisional Pristina institutions, Ramush Haradinaj, that could put him in the dock once again.
An inevitable topic will also be the trafficking of organs extracted from kidnapped Serbs, as well as the numerous killings of Serbs, such as those in Gorazdevac and Staro Gracko, for which no one has been held responsible - this is something Serbian National Assembly's Committee on Kosovo chairman Milovan Drecun is intensively working on and gathering evidence about.
Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic confirmed the importance of the Serbian voice being heard in the US Congress, saying that "Serbia has such an opportunity to break apart the Albanian lobby, to show that Serbs were brutally murdered in the Yellow House and that KLA fighters committed crimes" - adding that every opportunity should be seized to bring to light the real truth about Kosovo to America.
Serbian Assembly's Deputy President Vladimir Marinkovic is working on preparing the event in the US with Congressman Steve Stivers, who heads the Serbian Caucus. Marinkovic explained in a statement for Telegraf.rs that the offensive of Serbian institutions on the US Congress involves informing a wider circle of people about the real events in Kosovo - while some US politicians will hear for the first time what really happened in the southern Serbian province from 1998 to 2000, but also afterwards.
"We plan to organize a presentation about the events in Kosovo and Metohija with clear argumentation and documentation that we will attach there, not only for representatives of the Serbian Caucus, who know the region and Serbia well, but also to a wider circle of people who would come there. Congressmen, senators, people from the State Department will be informed about the developments in Kosovo," he told our portal, adding:
"They will see the evidence at the disposal of the Working Group of the Assembly's Committee on Kosovo, as well as the report on human organ trafficking by Dick Marty, a former Council of Europe rapporteur. We want to continue a new trend established by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, to have more friends in Washington, not only in Congress, the Senate and the Serbian Caucus, but also in the White House and the State Department."
The aim of the Assembly's representatives is to seize this moment, promote the truth and bring to the attention of those unfamiliar with the real situation in Kosovo and Metohija the legitimate interests of Serbia, its arguments, and what official Belgrade will do in the coming period.
"Our goal is to strengthen Serbia's position in Washington, to gain as many allies as possible and to promote our interests and arguments. Not to allow what was done between 2000 and 2012 to repeat, when politician who who led the country at the time simply forgot about Kosovo, did not fight, did not go around the world to speak about our interests - instead the so-called Kosovo was gaining more and more sovereignty every day. Many states recognized Kosovo's independence during their term of office," he said.
Marinkovic recalled that the new policy and this type of offensive, at the level of the president, the government, and the parliament itself, is yielding concrete results - namely, 14 countries have withdrawn their recognition of Kosovo.
"We will continue to work on this, and what is essential is that Washington has changed its policy and stance, from that of the Obama administration that implied Kosovo and Metohija was a 'solved problem' and should not be discussed any further, to now having that problem on the table again, Trump wanting to hear out our interests and support a compromise solution that would ensure long-term peace and development of this region," he told Telegraf.rs.
Marinkovic also recalled John Bolton's words that "America is no longer guided by this so-called foreign policy autopilot" - which is Serbia's chance to launch an offensive from all institutions when it comes to Washington.
ALBANIANS SPOKE IN CONGRESS IN APRIL, PRESENTING A SERIES OF FAKE CLAIMS
In late April, Congressman and Albanian lobbyist Eliot Engel organized a discussion in the Congress, when former president of Pristina institutions Atifete Jahjaga mentioned "20,000 women raped in Kosovo" - a part of Pristina's propaganda.
She stated that 20,000 women were allegedly raped in Kosovo, although there is no reliable data on that. Also speaking were Vasfija Krasniqi Goodman, who claimed to be a survivor of sexual violence, and Ilir Bytyqi, the brother of the three Bytyqi brothers, American citizens killed in Serbia in 1999.
