"Remember, daddy wasn't here": Before escaping, Goran threatened his sons. The younger boy hasn't spoken yet due to trauma

The police of Novi Sad has been searching for Goran Jankovic for three days due to the suspicion that he beat his wife Mirjana Jankovic and her parents to death on Friday morning, which his sons witnessed. The investigators think that the suspect did everything with a well-prepared plan, and the details of his hiding support this.

The source from the police told "Blic", that the pieces are coming together and the preliminary results of the investigation show that he came to the house of Mirjana's parents with the intention to commit a crime. 

According to the words of the source, it is almost certain that Jankovic did everything with preparation, before going to commit a crime he was in a bar, having a few drinks.

- Around five in the morning, he returned from the tavern, he packed a bag with clean things which could last a few days, he took a hammer and he went to Mirjana's parents - said the source.

As soon as he entered the house of family Pajic, Goran started shouting and he first charged at the father in law Branislav because he knew that he was the only one who could stop him because he was a big person.

He barely overpowered Branislav with a few hits in the head, and Mirjana tried to prevent him while Nada was moving the children.

Then he brutally hit Mirjana and then Nada shouted: "Are you happy now?", he turned around and he beat her on the front door.

His two sons watched everything.

The children, who are the key witnesses of the crime, are extremely shaken. Psychologists and other experts from the Social Welfare center talked to them many times in order to get some information.

- A terrible tragedy happened and it is a great trauma for them. The younger son took it far worse and we think that the poor boy isn't aware enough what has happened to him, while the older son is very disturbed and scared - said the source of the investigation.

After the bloody crime, he set down in his car and he wanted to mask his trail. He headed to the Danube where he left a car by a company and he went further on foot.

- The forensic detectives found no first aid kit in the car which gave us a clue that the murderer has no suicidal intentions so we intensified the search until we got information from a fellow citizen that he was seen near the Boulevard of Car Lazar in the suburb Liman 4. We have been "sweeping" through the terrain all night and we were called by the owner of a boat near Fisherman's island and he told is that there is someone on the boat - said the source.

Since they were close, he was arrested in a few minutes, and as the source explains, he tried to escape the boat.

The suspicion that he did everything with premeditation is corroborated by the fact that he had ready clean clothes, washed from the blood, changed his clothes, and that he even had some food on his person, and he ate it with some snacks and scraps found on the boat.

To recall, Jankovic had a restraining order to Mirjana stated by the Basic court due to family violence. Mirjana left him at that point and moved with children with her parents. Jankovic couldn't stand that, he begged her to return, and since she didn't want to do it, he came to the home of her parents and brutally murdered everybody.
