"Mom, mom, I want mom", resonated throughout the house while step-father beat the girl (3) till she died, and then everything was silent

Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Negotin ordered detention for up to 30 days to Zoran Albic (24) from Prahovo near Negotin on suspicion of having committed a serious murder by beating his step-daughter L.F. (2.5 years of age) until she died.

- On Monday, around 2 AM, Zoran came home drunk and he entered the house where he lived with Vesna F, and her two and a half-year-old daughter. He started shouting, smashing things, breaking everything. The police found broken plates and glasses on the floor, chair, and there were spots of blood on the wall. Zoran cut himself while he was breaking things around the house, and while he was beating the child the blood from his cut arm was flying over the room - we found out unofficially.

The police arrested the stepfather and the mother when they brought the lifeless body of a girl early that morning to Negotin emergency room and they both said that the girl fell off from the terrace.

The mother Vesna told the authorities:

- He came home drunk and he woke me up. He started fighting, throwing everything which he could find. He woke up the child and she started crying. Zoran was furious, he ordered me to silence the child, he shouted that he can't stand the crying. We started fighting and he hit me in my forehead with his head. I was dizzy. Then, he grabbed me by the hand and he literally pulled me out of the house. He locked the front door and I was stuck in the yard - said mother Vesna.

And then there was horror. Vesna said that she heard Zoran shouting and hitting her girl, the child was screaming, she was calling to me: "Mom, mom, I want mom". She said that she tried to break open the door and to enter, she shouted from the yard to Zoran. The child was crying and the cries of the girl could be heard, mixed with Zoran's curse words, and then everything was silent...

- He unlocked the door and he said: "the kid is not moving". We have called a taxi and we went to the emergency room. He threatened me and I said that the child fell off the terrace. I was afraid, I was very afraid, I have another child, a baby ... - said Vesna.

Although that is not the evidence on the court, the polygraph will be used for guidance in further investigation.

- Vesna passed, Zoran didn't. He admitted having beaten the girl, but he said that Vesna helped him, that they both beat the innocent girl - said the authorities.

Everything happened on the ground level of the house. Zoran didn't throw the child from the terrace.

Zoran Albic is known in Prahovo as a person who causes troubles and he participated and started many fights. He had a file with elements of violence, even when he was underage. However, no one could imagine something like this...
