The footage after the terrible accident where four Serbs died: The driver fell asleep and he smashed the fence. The only survivor was wearing a safety belt (VIDEO)

In a serious traffic accident that occurred at about 00.30 in Croatia on A-3 highway, near the resort of Bosnjaci in the direction of Zagreb, four Serbian citizens have died, one of them a 14-year-old boy, while one young man was injured.

The police suspect that the cause of the terrible traffic is that the car driver fell asleep, reports Blic.

Aleksandra Jankovic (43), Zikica Jankovic (47), Verica Rasic (42) and fourteen-year-old N.R. lost their lives in the accident. 

The passenger next to the driver Dragan Vucicevic (28) was injured and he was placed in a hospital in Vinkovci. He is allegedly in stable condition.

It was confirmed to Index that people who died didn't wear a safety belt.  

According to HRT, the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle so he flew off the road and he smashed into the fence near the highway. 

A video appeared on social networks created by a driver after the terrible accident:

It shows a line of vehicles moving in pitch black moving in the right lane while there were vehicles of the emergency services in the left one.

It is stated from the police that the accident occurred when the passenger vehicle "Skoda Octavia" with Slovenia license plates, with 5 citizens of Serbia, flew off the road and hit the fence placed near the highway.

Four people have died from the force of the impact (42-year-old driver and the passengers in the car, 14 years old, 43 years old, and 47 years old), the passenger next to the driver suffered minor injuries and he was using safety belt - they stated from the Vukovar-Srijemska Police department.
