Montenegrin Escobar arrested with 807 kilograms of cocaine: Drug has arrived from Venezuela!
Marko Bozovic from Podgorica was arrested on suspicion of participating in the smuggling of 807 kilos of cocaine from Venezuela to Europe, writes Dan.
A passport of the South African Republic was found on his possession when he was arrested.
The local police are investigating whether this case is connected with the seizure of 840 kilograms of cocaine found in a yacht in Portugal last September.
Immediately after the seizure of narcotics, four people were arrested, including two Montenegrin citizens.
Many months-long investigations of the police indicated that there were more people involved in the cocaine smuggling. It is not excluded that Bozovic is the part of the same criminal group which tried to smuggle loads of 800 and more kilos of cocaine. The drugs were revealed on a yacht in the Atlantic.
The Portuguese police said then that 840 kilograms of cocaine were seized during the search of vessels. It was then announced that over the past three months, the Portuguese police seized more than 10 tonnes of drugs at sea, which is why the correlation of several cases is checked.
When cocaine was seized, two men and two women on a yacht were arrested. There is a suspicion that they were smuggling cocaine from the Caribbean to Europe.
