"NATO created an ecological disaster in Serbia like the one in Chernoble": Grandson of the former Russian prime minister comes to explore the consequences of bombing
The bombing in 1999 left terrible consequences for Serbia. NATO has made a real ecological disaster here, like in Chernobyl. This is stated by Yevgeny Primakov, president of the Russian humanitarian mission and a deputy in the Russian Duma, on the occasion of the announcement that he will help the Serbian investigation of the consequences of the NATO bombing.
NATO said at the 20th anniversary of the bombing of Yugoslavia: Here's why we bombed you
According to him, in conversation with famous doctor Danica Grujicic, he learned that the number of cancer patients in Serbia drastically increases, much more than the European average.
- The number of malignant diseases in Serbia goes far beyond the figures in the rest of Europe. We can only connect that with depleted uranium and other chemical poisons from bombs that NATO fired against Serbia in 1999. And not only that, NATO was hitting factories, chemical plants and thus they endangered the entire ecological system in your country. We will support all of the analysis of the ground, air, and water in order to reveal what are the real consequences of NATO bombing - states Primakov for Telegraf.rs.
He added that there are already numerous researches, and he even did some of them for NATO, which reveal the harmful consequences of ammo used against Serbia.
- The result of the investigation of the consequences of NATO bombing should be the judgment and condemnation of what they did. Perhaps it is a legal basis for those who choose to sue NATO, like numerous Italian soldiers who were ill with radiation during the 1999 bombing and who got NATO in court - reminds Primakov.
