Dule Vujosevic for Telegraf about Red Star's running away, referee mistakes and Partizan's Cup: Whoever loses should handle it!

Basketball players of Partizan have won the Cup of Radivoj Korac and they have raised the bar for the 15th time in the history of the club, after the finals which were a points seesaw, as well as leaving of the players of Red Star from the Cair hall and refusal to accept medals for the second place after a tight defeat, which reminded many of Croats when they left the stand.

It was all already seem, the fans made a comparison with what Dusko Vujosevic did, he told his players to remain on the carpet and he made them applaud to their greatest rival, when the domination of Partizan was stopped in the final of Play-off in season 2014/2015, when Red Star stopped the domination of Partizan after 13 years.

Back then, there was no leaving of the hall. Medals, silver ones, were hanging around the necks of the sad basketball players who were aware that the "domination" has reached the end. Tensions? At the highest levels. Conference? Tumultuous, but it was held.

Precisely because of that, we have contacted the person who was defeated in that finals, the celebrated coach Dusko Vujosevic, and we asked him to comment on the famous "applause", and this year's finals of the Cup of Radivoj Korac.

- I have watched the cup and I saw the finals, of course. Partizan played well, they had a well-earned victory and I congratulate them. The players deserved it. 

• Can you comment on the action after the finals in 2015, when you got silver medals and you made the players applaud to Red Star?

- I don't remember that final very well. But, simple. The one who loses should have the strength to endure it. I think that it is perfectly normal and sportslike for a team to remain and to get their medals, no matter the score. That is why I have done it now.

• This year, the basketball players of Red and Whites left the hall without their medals. How do you comment on that?

I disagree with that. But, everybody has the right do decide to do what they want.

• To return to this year's final and numerous decisions by the referees, characterized as "suspicious". How did it look like from your point of view?

- I think that always, on every game, there are some situations where people have the right to have different opinions - concluded the coach Vujosevic.

To recall, after the final of the Cup Radivoj Korac in basketball, the coach of Red and Whites Milan Tomic didn't come to the press conference, the basketball players didn't receive medals, they gave no statements, and the only address to the journalists was from Nebojsa Covic after the defeat.
