Macedonians decided when will they rename their state into Northern Macedonia: New name will be also written in the Albanian language
The Government of Macedonia adopted a plan for the implementation of the Prespa Agreement, according to which, among other things, state institutions and companies should change the country's nameplates at border crossings, diplomatic missions, and entrances to institutions.
Macedonia's obligations to change the name of the state and labels will begin seven days after the constitutional amendments come into force, which will happen when Greece ratifies Macedonia's NATO membership protocol, Radio Free Europe reports.
The changes will be harmonized with the Law on the Use of Languages, and the new name Northern Macedonia will be printed in both Macedonian and Albanian language on signs and boards at the border, state institutions, companies, embassies, and consulates.
