Serbia is white, half a meter of snow on Zlatar: People are enjoying in warm homes, there are no traffic jams (PHOTO)

Belgrade streets quickly became white with the first snow in 2019. However, people are still enjoying the holiday and many decided to stay home and to warm up. There are few cars on the streets, although some of the streets were not cleaned, there are no traffic jams in the usual hours when people are going to work.

A snowman used to be the pinnacle of a child's happiness, and then Jelena from Novi Sad created the Ice Princess!

The snow that has been falling in most of Serbia through the night didn't cause any major problems.

The snow has been falling in Cacac since early morning hours, but there have been no road jams so far. All public companies are on full alert, taking in consideration that the temperature is below zero, they continued to put salt on the main city streets, bridges, and entrances to the city.

The roads in Uzice and municipality Cajetina are also good for traffic.

The most snow fell on Zlatar, Zlatibor, and Jabuka because it has been snowing for 2 days on those mountains.

- The road workers are on the field all the time, they are cleaning, although the snow is falling all the time. The wind that is blowing is making the job a bit harder, roads are wet and there are snow layers, but there are no significant problems - concluded the director of Uzice roads, Leko Koricanac.

The snow in the higher levels of Zlatar and Murtenica has been falling for the past 15 hours and it reached the depth of half a meter.

In the higher parts of Prijepolje, the depth of the snow cover is around 30 cm, while there is only five to 10 cm in the city itself.

The drivers are advised to head out on the road with full winter equipment because of the low grip of the tires, especially on steep roads.
