Five victims of the terrible accident in Nis, the doctors are fighting for the life of two children (VIDEO)

There has been a terrible accident on the railroad crossing Donje Medjurovo near Nis. Five people died in the crash between a train and a bus, two of them were children.

Nis Express, the company which transports passengers, responded six hours after the accident. The deputy director at the Nis Express conference, Novica Tasic, said that he did not want to speculate about the causes of the accident this morning and that he could not talk about the driver's responsibility, but stressed that he fulfilled all the legal requirements.

- We have repeatedly warned the authorities, not only about this but also other similar railway crossings, because we drive throughout Serbia, that they have to be adequately equipped with light and audible signaling, as well with ramps, which is a legal obligation - he said Tasic.

The police issued a first assumption on how the accident occurred.

- At this moment, I have the information that the accident occurred due to the driver's mistake. The investigation will show if that is true or not. The driver will be questioned if he fulfills the psycho-physical conditions for driving the vehicle, and we will check all other circumstances related to the conditions of the road - said the head of the police, Vladimir Rebic.

The most terrible scene is happening in the Clinical center in Nis: The father said to his son that his mother died. 

M.K. (15) and N.J. (42) are among the people who died. 

- What did my 15-year-old do wrong to die like this, because of someone else's mistake - cries the father of the late A.D.

The doctors said to the two families that their children have passed away. Cries are echoing in the waiting room. The boy A.D. (15) and little girl M.K. (15) passed away.

Minister of Health, Zlatibor Loncar, visited the injured in the Clinical Center in Nis and announced that 13 people remained for further treatment and that 8 of them are underage. A boy and a girl, both 16 years old, are in a very serious condition.

- The girl has serious injuries of the central nervous system, she was on surgery, but she is still in a coma. The boy has serious injuries to the lower part of the spine. The fight for their life continues - Loncar said.

Professor Biljana Milicevic, whose students were on the bus of "Nis Express" came to the ER of the Clinical Center to ask about the conditions of her students. Unfortunately, she was shocked. Se found her student A.D. (15) on the list of the dead persons.
