The Prime Minister of the self-proclaimed Kosovo Ramush Haradinaj said that the accused members of the so-called Kosovo Liberation Army will have full legal and financial assistance from his cabinet before the Special Court in The Hague.

In order to help the accused, who are charged with crimes from the beginning of 1998 to the end of 2000, 1.5 million euros were allocated. Justice Minister from Haradinaj's Cabinet, Abelard Tahiri, said the allocated amount could be increased depending on the number of accused and the expenses of lawyers.

The assembly of self-proclaimed Kosovo adopted the decision in 2015 on forming the fund for assistance for the accused KLA members.

Within the Ministry of Justice, a special Office for Assistance has been set up headed by Driton Laici, advisor to the Kosovo parliamentary speaker, and according to Srna's knowledge, there are most influential Kosovo lawyers in the defense team.

As Srna finds out, a team of lawyers from London will be hired, which defended Ramush Haradinaj on two accounts in the Hague tribunal.
