The Republic of Madagascar has informed the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs that it has withdrawn its decision to recognize Kosovo.

- We received a note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Madagascar, informing us that on December 5, the Republic of Madagascar decided to withdraw the recognition of Kosovo - said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic to Tanjug.
Dacic pointed out that Madagascar is the twelfth country that withdrew the recognition of Kosovo's unilaterally declared independence.
- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Madagascar expresses its respect for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and has the honor to announce that the Republic of Madagascar has decided to withdraw the recognition of the Republic of Kosovo by the verbal note no.90/18-AM/M on 5 December 2018 - stated in a verbal note sent to Serbia, in which Tanjug had insight.
In the note sent to Pristina by the same ministry, it is stated that the recognition is withdrawn until a just, fair and lasting political solution is achieved.
Five days ago, the Solomon Islands withdrew recognition of the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo.
