"Kosovo Army" again in Parliament in December? Here's how much the whole process can take

President of the Kosovo Assembly Committee for Internal Affairs, Security and Supervision of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) Haxhi Shala said that the laws on the transformation of the KSF into an army could arrive in Parliament for second reading by mid-December.

According to Koha Ditore, he said that everything went as anticipated and that the entire process can last 20 days.

Deputy Minister for KBS Burim Ramadani confirmed this, who told KTV that the Kosovo Army will have 5,000 soldiers and that it will have heavy weaponry.

He added that KBS and KFOR will cooperate even after the transformation.

Skender Perteshi of the Kosovo Security Studies Center said KFOR is acting on the basis of UN Security Council Resolution 1244 and is not bound by the Kosovo Constitution.
