10 states officially withdrew their recognition on Kosovo independence: Great success of Serbia!
Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic announced that he expects another country to withdraw the recognition on Kosovo independence, just like he thought they will - the Indian Ocean island, the Union of Comoros did just that.
- That is the tenth state which withdrew the recognition - Dacic said while he was on Radio Television of Serbia.
As Dacic stated, Pristina said that the withdrawals of recognitions are lies and defamations, because "it hurts them".
Although some would say that some of these countries are "not important, that is 10 votes in the UN, added the head of Serbian diplomacy.
So far, the recognition of Kosovo has been withdrawn by Granada, the Commonwealth of Dominica, Suriname, Liberia, Sao Tome and Principe, Guinea-Bissau, Burundi, Papua New Guinea, and Lesotho.
The Union of Comoros is a republic, settled in the northern part of the Mozambican Canal on the east coast of Africa, between northeast Mozambique and northwestern Madagascar.
The state consists of three large islands and numerous smaller islands and has about 795,000 inhabitants (estimates in 2016). The capital is Moroni.
