Only two tournaments remain, the difference is 215 points: What does Djokovic need to finish the year as the No. 1 tennis player in the world?
By winning against Borna Coric in the finals of Masters in Shanghai, Novak Djokovic climbed to the second place in the ATP list and he additionally spiced things up in the fight for the no. 1 place at the end of the year.
Only 215 points are keeping Djokovic away from Rafael Nadal, and the two tournaments remain until the end - Masters in Paris and the final tournament in London.
The good thing for Djokovic is that he won't be defending any points in the mentioned tournament since he didn't participate in Paris and in London due to injury.
A similar situation is with Nadal, who is defending 170 points from the capital of France, while he missed London, also because of the injury.
The first place is unreachable for the third player of the world, Roger Federer, who is defending the semifinals of London, but he is trailing behind by over 1.000 points.
