Drama in Novi Sad: An attacker charged at the taxi driver, shouting "Allah Akbar"
Last night, after midnight, around 12:30, there has been an incident on Grbavica in Tolstojeva street, in front of the number 33, according to portal NS live.
As we unofficially found out from the eyewitnesses, an unknown man attacked a taxi driver with a knife or with another sharp object, shouting Allah Akbar.
Police special unit quickly came to the scene, and the man was apprehended, he was wearing a bulletproof vest.
A large number of taxi drivers appeared at the scene, who came to help their colleague.
Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Novi Sad arrested D.A. (45) because of the suspicion that he committed several offenses - insulting, causing a fight, carrying a cold weapon and not wearing an ID card.
He was suspected that he was intoxicated in the night between Wednesday and Thursday, and he didn't have the money to pay the taxi driver, so he insulted him and challenged him to a fight. A knife dropped out of his pocket. The suspect was allegedly saying "Allah Akbar".
