After a girl from Croatia broke up with her boyfriend, she found her nude photos on a porn site
We often have the opportunity to hear that someone's nude photos ended up in public or on some porn website, or on a social network. Girls, while enjoying their love relationship with their partner, come to the idea to send their nude photos in order to "spice things up a bit". Sometimes, it happens that the other side abuses this material after the breakup, as vengeance.
That is what happened in this story. A young girl from Zadar discovered that her ex-boyfriend posted her naked photos on porn site.
She reported everything to the police and the Municipal State Prosecutor's Office in Zadar (ODO) filed an indictment against her former partner, 34-year-old from Slavonski Brod.
- There is no way he could use it. We love each other - said the girl while the love was flourishing. But, soon after when they ended their love relationship, "butterflies" in her stomach were replaced with confusion at first, and then a cold shock.
Although he didn't take the breakup very well, she didn't believe that he dared to do that. She didn't believe until she saw with her own eyes. She realized that it was really her, naked, and od porn websites with sexy nicknames.
Now her former boyfriend is charged with having committed a criminal offense against privacy - unauthorized use of personal data. When presenting the defense to the judge, he pleaded guilty, and the prosecution requested a ten-month prison sentence, with a suspended sentence of four years.
According to the indictment, the man from Brod opened many profiles on the internet webpage with pornographic content "X Hamster" last year in Zadar, after the breakup with his girlfriend, on which he published her naked photos with various variations of her name.
He used her personal information that was known to him, as well as naked photos that she sent to his phone while they were in love, writes Zadarski.hr.
Although this is the first such known indictment related to the sharing of explicit photos on the Internet, Zadar sociologist Kresimir Krolo told Zadarski.hr that more and more people are becoming victims of this phenomenon popularly called "revenge porn".
Reported cases of revenge pornography or public posting of explicit photographs after breakup significantly increased in 2015 and 2016, along with the development of mobile phones. The sharing of images over the phone has never been this easy.
Although "revenge" porn videos are most often published by former partners, they can also be hackers, strangers or even best friends.
Since 2015, Google has also adhered to the demands of people to remove nude or sexually explicit photos that were shared without prior consent and immediately removed them from search results.
