Chinese are arriving in Belgrade: Hot movie summer continues in the capital

The movie "Belgrade Escape", whose filming starts on Thursday, talks about the war veteran in the former member of the peace mission, Zoe Sia, who has been living in Belgrade for 20 years and who works as a night watchman at the Museum of Contemporary Art. The movie follows his attempt to get out of gambling debts and his relationship with his daughter.

According to the statement of the Film Center of Serbia, the movie represents a mixture of genres of action, comedy, and melodrama.

- The director relies on the giants of the Chinese action movies, and on modern Hollywood action movies, and the movies "Heat" of Michael Mann and "Drive" of Nicolas Winding Refn had a special influence on his work - according to the statement.

The movie will be made in Belgrade and besides Chinese actors, the role of the main villain will go to Dragan Micanovic.

Production companies "Emote" from Belgrade and "Broken Star Films" from Beijing will work on the movie, which is the first cooperation of Serbia and China in cinema.
