Kosovo police officers, during the operation, conducted in several locations in the Gnjilane region, arrested five people, who were later released, the prosecutor in Gnjilane Jetis Maloku said to KTV, reports RTS.

The Kosovo Police have previously announced that these people were arrested under a reasonable suspicion that they were involved in "activities against the constitutional order and security of the Republic of Kosovo - KoSSev reported.

At the same time, "in order to accurately inform the public", the police denied some "Serbian media/portals, who say that the police operation is being conducted against former KSB members".

- We explain that these are just some allegations or speculations of the mentioned media - they emphasize from the Kosovo Police.

However, the police did not provide details on whether this morning's action was related to the Kosovo security forces issue itself, or the actual leaving of Serb members from it in this region.

RTV Puls announced this morning that strong special police forces blocked private houses, as well as the business premises of the head of the Kosovo-Pomoravlje District Radovan Stojkovic and the director of the branch of the National Employment Service Jovan Denic in Gornji Kusac near Gnjilane and that a search is underway. These institutions are located in the Serbian state system. Also, several houses of the former members of the Kosovo security forces of Serbian nationality who recently left the service were searched.
