We don't have to love each other, but we have to look forward. Dacic on relations between Serbia and Croatia
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic said in Split that Serbia and Croatia should look ahead and solve all the problems that exist from the past, although they don't have to agree on everything or to love each other.
- We have to look forward because we are going forward, the car is driven forward, it can bo backward as well, but I don't know how far will we go - Dacic said to the journalists in Split, where he is participating in annual meeting of foreign ministers of the member states of the Central European Initiative.
He said that he arrived to Split to show Serbia's desire to have good relations with Croatia.
- We did something good, that is, we sold the residential building in New York together and now we are waiting for the visit of the Croatian president - Dacic said and mentioned that the visit of Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic is still not scheduled, but the meetings of work groups are.
When asked when the visit will be realized in Belgrade, the minister said that the president of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic and Grabar-Kitarovic talked about her visit during the last visit, and in Mostar.
However, as he said "we constantly have some events that bring us backward. That is why I say that I want to push forward and to seek joint interests".
- We don't have to get along on everything, we don't have to love each other, but we are surely closer to each other than with some of those with whom we are in European integrations - Dacic said.
