The storm has caught the parts of Croatia: Streets are flooded, people stuck in their cars, they are waiting for help
Storm, followed by hail and a massive amount of precipitation, caught Istria yesterday. Stong storm has hit the area of Karlovac as well, where the members of the Public Utility Company have their hands full.
Numerous firefighter crews are on the field in Karlovac and they are helping the citizens who called for help because of flooded basements, streets, and collapsed trees. Due to the massive amount of precipitation that came down in a short period of time, the water couldn't go down the drainage. That is why the busy streets were flooded in the city, which made traffic difficult and some people were trapped in their cars, Radio Mreznica reports.
The services received information about the flooded basements in two elementary schools, and in many private objects and homes.
