Praljak's suicide investigation completed: It was revealed if someone helped him kill himself
The Hague Tribunal's investigation on the suicide of Slobodan Praljak ended and did not point to any failures of the security service and the protocol of the ICTY, Praljak's lawyer Nika Pinter said.
According to the Jutarnji list, this means that nobody will be responsible for bringing cyanide that Praljak used to kill himself, but also that there is no answer to the question how the poison came into the courtroom.
- The court completed the investigation and concluded that there was no omission in the work of the guard service. Another investigation is led by the Dutch police, who will inform the Croatian-diplomatic mission about the results of the investigation - Pinter told Jutarnji.
The newspaper reminds that an envelope with a name on it was found after Praljak's death in his room, addressed to his wife.
- Yes, I would respond to the court summons if it turned out that I was an accomplice in Praljak's death - Pinter said.
Slobodan Praljak performed suicide at the end of November in the courtroom of the Hague tribunal when he heard his sentence where he was found guilty of war crimes.
