A criminal group that deals with the sale of hashish, and allegedly trafficking with the human beings, used boats to camouflage their helicopters which could transport large amounts of drugs
The Spain Authorities broke the well-organized hashish transport network from Marroco to Spain, and among the arrested are Serbian pilots, who were suspected of transporting the drugs. A total of 18 people were arrested, who were suspected that they are a part of a criminal network specialized in hashish trade, which was moved from Marroco to Spain via helicopters.
Spanish media state that the operation led to arrest of the brains of the organization which headquarters lie in Andalusia and the helicopter pilots were arrested in the action. It was determined that the pilots were Serbs and that there are different nationalities in the group of 18 arrested.
- Cracking of this criminal network is a result of a detailed investigation in the suburbs of Malaga and Seville, during which the Spanish officials confiscated three vehicles, several mobile phones, flight instruments, a counter of bank papers, jewelry, around 18.000 euros in cash. Numerous documents were confiscated - stated by the Morrocan portal "H24.ma".
According to foreign media, the operation began last year, and one of the key moments happened on 9th December 2017.
- Spanish police started the investigation last year, when one helicopter BO-105 was located, which was covered on the training range in Ronda, Andalusia. That range served to dust mosquitoes. However, the officials quickly located the other craft which was intercepted on 9th December, on a flight from Sevilla to Marroco. The craft was operated by former Serbian pilot from Switzerland - according to the sources.
The first craft was confiscated, however, that didn't stop this criminal organization to continue working with another craft.
- Three people were arrested during the confiscation of the second helicopter, including the pilot. The pilot was a former Serbian soldier specialized in night flight with the residence in Switzerland - stated by the "leconomiste.com".
It was revealed that this well-organized criminal group has good logistics. Namely, since the helicopters are not made for long flights, they had bases where they could land along the way, where they could take off, and to reach fuel, and eventual repairs in the case of malfunctions.
The investigation confirmed that the members of this network used farms for their business and they had a large network of helicopter repairs.
