Snowstorms over Croatia, total collapse in the whole country: Trains are standing still, people trapped, army called for aid(PHOTO) (VIDEO)
The Croatian army will be involved in the removing the consequences of the snowstorms, wherever is most needed according to the estimates of the authorities, Defense Minister Damir Krsticevic decided.

- The armed forces of the Republic of Croatia are engaged in helping civil institutions and citizens when the capacities of institutions and organizations responsible for protection and rescue are not sufficient - it was announced from that office, HINA reported.
Snow and storm winds are making the life of ordinary people very hard, especially in Lica, Gorski Kotar, middle and northwest Croatia, Slavonia and in hinterlands of Dalmatia, and that weather will persist in next few days.

The weather forecast for the middle and highland parts are new snow cover and snow drifts, and possible blizzards.

THE TRAIN FROM SPLIT IS TRAVELING 13 HOURS TOWARDS ZAGREB, IT REMAINED TRAPPED IN THE SNOW
According to the index.hr, a train that took off from Split for Zagreb at 21:40 with 40 passengers, got stuck around 3 AM on a bridge in Lica. The train finally moved on today at 12 o'clock.
The passengers depleted their food sources, but they got warm drinks. As they said, most of them went on a road with the train, thinking they won't get stuck in the snow.
