Boskovici don't have water in the 21st century: They gather rainwater by putting barrels under the gutter, and the children get sick all the time (VIDEO)

The locals of Laktasi can't remember the water coming out of the tap. That is why they have to work it out in their own way, to gather rainfall or to go to the well which is kilometers away. There are barrels under the gutter at Trivic's house with three children.

- This is suffering - Trivic Ivana complained.

- We are great when there are rains. When there is no rain then we fight or we buy water or we drag it from somewhere. So we get water in all sorts of ways. I have to boil the rainwater. When there is snow, there are cases where neighbors melt the snow for water, to wash up if nothing else - Trivic Ivana said.

- What are the taps for if they are not working - Zvjezdana said. She doesn't understand, no one from the authorities came here to see how the people in Boskovici live, not far away from the center of Laktasi.

- We borrow water from neighbors, we drag it from Drugovic, we buy it. However, we can no longer do that. We gather rainwater from the gutter, I boil that water all the time for children, and they get sick every once and a while. The municipality allegedly doesn't have the money to do the project. But, as they say, it's the 21st century, and we should all have something - the worlds of Zvezdana Trivic.

- The truth is that we don't have the money - the city authorities that asked for help from the European Investment bank.

They admit from the municipality Laktasi that they did nothing to secure water to the locals of Boskovic. Due to the lack of resources, everything remained at the project documentation.
