The icon of the Holy mother of God cried before Christmas: Miracle in Macedonian monastery (PHOTO)

Last Sunday, right before the morning liturgy, the icon of the Holy Mother of God in the church of "St. Archangel Michael" in the village Trubarevo near Skopje cried again.

The icon first started crying just before Easter, at the beginning of April 2016 and now, her "tears" came before Christmas.

The believers were first to notice the sad eyes on the icon of the Holy mother of God after the morning prayer while they talked about celebrating the Christmas Eve and Christmas. They were amazed that the icon started crying again, but this time, much more than before.

One of the believers took a photo of the "crying" Mother of God and sent the photo to the portal Religija.mk.

Metropolitanate of Skopje was informed about the miracle that happened in the church of "St. Archangel Michail" in village Trubarevo, and they have no comments so far. When it was found out that the icon started crying again, the believers from the village and the entire Skopje started visiting this Orthodox temple again.

The icon started crying for the first time after morning prayers, prior to the Easter of 2016.

- When a priest completed the Sunday liturgy, one believer noticed a few drops coming from the left eye of the icon of the Holy mother of God. Father Boban took some cotton, wiped it off, smelled it and he said that it smells like holy myrrh. Right after that, few more drops appeared on the forehead. We remained in church till 17 PM and the drops kept appearing - chairman of the church committee Risto Setinov said at the time.

This news also reached the head of the Macedonian Orthodox Church, Archbishop Stefan, who then visited the church and prayed in front of the icon of the Blessed Mother of God, saying that it a sign from God because it really was holy myrrh, a fluid of a very pleasant scent and it is said that it has a calming effect.

Holy myrrh is a dense and greasy liquid that mostly comes from the remains of the saints, but it often happens that icons are pouring it. It is believed that it happens when a saint in pleased who is located or painted in the temple or he is trying to disclose his good will.
