Kolinda's pirouette: The daughter of Croatian president danced on ice and she amazed everybody (VIDEO)

The celebration of the 50th birthday of Golden pirouette of Zagreb of the oldest world competition in figure skating has officially begun. The skating spectacle, ISU Challenged series, which is being held since Saturday in the Ice Hall of Hall of Sports, has been opened by Jelena Pavicic Vukicevic, the deputy mayor of Zagreb, Milan Bandic, and everybody was amazed by the daughter of the president of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic.

Almost all Croatian figure skaters who permed in the last 50 years on the Golden Pirouette danced on the ice in a one-hour long programme in the sports hall.

The president of the Skating Association Morana Palikovic Gruden went out with the ice skates which are older than Pirouette.

- These skates are 55 years old. I am really excited and happy and I am glad that I am passing my excitement to all the people who are connected to the Croatian skating. I always remember the people who started this story 50 years ago and which is still lasting, and back in that time, it was almost impossible to organize some large competition - Palikovic Gruden.

Everybody was particularly amazed by the daughter of Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic, Katarina Kitarovic. 

Her father Jakov came to watch her performance.
