Pupils made and sold cookies to renovate school (PHOTO)

A sales exhibit was organized in the village Bradic near Loznica with the aim to gather the money to renovate the school. The locals of the village, including the children of lower grades, managed to "earn" 130 thousand dinars, and one cookie reached the price of 50 euros.

Moms were baking cookies, and their children, students of the lower grades sold them. They bought a new door to the Elementary School in Bradic with the money they made from cookies. 

- All the money we gathered from the children's weeks we put into school to change windows and the door - said Uros Lazic, the student.

The locals of Bradic joint together so their kids could have better conditions where they can learn, some gave money, as much as they could, and those who didn't have it, helped with working.

- The door was old, the hall couldn't heat up and the children were sitting in their jackets in school, it's much better now - said Vladan Polic from Bradic.

- The locals are very active here and they really care about the school their children are going to and to have pleasant conditions where they can learn, safe above all - said Goran Rikanovic from Bradic.

The school in Bradic was built by locals 70 years ago, and decades later their children continued to maintain it. Thanks to them, the schoolyard was done, insolation was placed, heating was done.

- Our locals are modest, taking in consideration that the number of people is not working, that they are not hired, but of course, people are helping and they are willing to help - said Milorad Stanic, the principal of the school in Bradic.

The help is arriving in the next period as well, the idea is to replace the windows and to construct a sports hall.
