EXCLUSIVE: Rafael Nadal for Telegraf: I am seriously preparing for Krajinovic, he is a top player!

The best tennis player in the world Rafael Nadal plays (15.30) Radio Television of Serbia) a quarter-final match against Filip Krajinovic at Masters in Paris. It will be an interesting match, and Nadal himself spoke about it for Telegraf.

In the match against Cuevas, in which Nadal certainly did not dominate, allowing the opponent number of breaks and chances to return to the match - and with often "drilling" of the net on double serve faults, there is certainly small number of Nadal's fans who are fearing our "resurrected" ace Filip Krajinovic. 

According to the latest information from the press conference after the match with Uruguayan, Rafael's knee injury was often mentioned - which could even "complicate" his performance on the closing Masters in London. However, what is more important at the moment for our tennis fans is that Filip has good chances in the match against the first player in the world for 2017 - which will be their first match altogether.

In an exclusive statement for Telegraf, Nadal commented on the content of that match:

- I certainly knew about the Filip Krajinovic style in tennis, although we never played against one another on the tours. He is in an excellent shape as a player, and he had series of victories in multiple tournaments this year which he continued here in Paris, coming to our match through qualifications.

- Players who accomplish the series of great performances, of triumphs on the tournaments - no matter what level of competition it is about - they are extremely dangerous, they have all the reason to be full of confidence and to believe in their game and their chances.

- Filip plays great, convincingly, he is full of enthusiasm - which brings me to believe and to prepare for a very demanding match... Paris is the most important Tennis city in my career, and every match here for me has a very special significance and motivates me to justify the expectations of the local tennis community - Rafael Nadal thinks about his opponent and predictions during the match.

Judging by everything seen in Accor Arena - Krajinovic certainly has chances. It is obvious that he is extremely comfortable in the ambiance of Paris, and that this part of the season playing on the herd surface is good for his style of game.

By winning the final set against the home favorite Mahut with 6 - 1, he gave all tennis lovers the right to expect something amazing in the in the quarterfinals of one of the most important tournaments of the ATP tour. Krajinovic knows well what he must to "stay" as long as possible in the match against Nadal - if that goes well (Cuevas demonstrated that in most of the match) - even the large surprises - are not impossible.
