The brain of ISIS arrested in Sarajevo and extradited to America: Kandic is one of the most wanted terrorists in the world

Mirsad Kandic, who was suspected of terrorism and who was found by the authorities in Bosnia and Hercegovina (BiH) and extradited to the USA, is a very dangerous person and one of the key men of terrorist organization Islamic State where he was the head of the intelligence service, reported yesterday by the Minister of Security of BiH Dragan Mektic in Sarajevo, writes Hina.

He said in the press conference that Kandic was extradited to the American judiciary system the day before, they were searching for him since 2014, and it is a person from the top of the notorious terrorist organization.

- He was the head of the ISIS intelligence service - said Dragan Mektic adding that MIrsad Kandic is one of the most wanted terrorists in the world and many intelligence services searched for him all around the world.

Kandic was born in Kosovo in 1981, and for years he lived in the US and owned an American "green card". He is on a list of people wanted by the US Department of Justice since 2014, and an international red arrest warrant has been issued for him.

Mektic marked the BiH's intelligence and Security Agency (OSA) as the one who located Kandic. 

The fact that Kandic had a dozen of fake identities and I.D. which he used to go to Germany, Britain, and Turkey, and the local intelligence agencies couldn't find him, is enough evidence how complicated this operation was.

He entered BiH with the fake ID on the name of Ivan Popovic, and he was traveling around the country under the fake identity of Edin Radoncic. 

He tried to mask his trail, and the intelligence service located him a few times and then they lost him.

He was found at the end in a rented apartment in Sarajevo suburb Grbavica where he was arrested on 4th July and he has been in extradition custody.

Mektic claims that Kandic did most important task in ISIS operations, from bringing new terrorists to checking the persons who were supposed to perform the terrorist attacks in the name of that organization, and the building of the attack devices for those attacks.

- He was the brains of the terrorist organization - said Mektic adding that the report with detailed information will be published which will show how dangerous Kandic was.

REVEALING OF THE PEOPLE WHO WERE HIDING HIM 

The investigation continues in BiH after his extradition, and the goal is to determine who are the people who were the part of the network and who helped him hide.

Mektic said that this case is a clear proof that BiH won't tolerate any terrorist activities, nor the people connected with the terrorism.
