Strong rain in most of Croatia on Sunday. The center of the city in Rijeka area was flooded, and many firefighting crews are on the field.
A torrent is going down the Zvonimir street, underpass at shipyard 3 is under water again, Kresimir street connecting Mlaka and Zabica is also underwater, and a similar situation is in the street J.P. Kamov, reports portal Fiuman.
According to 24sata.hr. the traffic in the center of the city is difficult. A car fell into a manhole on Turnic.
The officials are inviting the drivers not to go out and to be careful during driving.
The water already broke in the shopping center Tauver on Pecine, and it was flooded on multiple places till 19 hours, and there were few power shortages. Even the cinema is closed at the moment.
The buyers rushed to their cars when they saw the water which created the large crowds at the garage entrance, so many reached the main road in more than half an hour.
The damage will be estimated which was caused by the rain in Rijeka. The Meteoalarm station for Rijeka area issued an orange warning alarm and announced massive rainfall, torrents, floods, and stormy winds.
The rain even turned to snow which is falling heavily on Platak.
The same warning is in effect for Rijeka today, with stronger winds.
