In Tuzla, there is a 650-kilogram burek which will attempt to enter the Ginis's book of records. In addition to burek, 1.500 cevaps were made.
Chefs from the restaurant in Tuzla made it in 12 hours. The homemade dough of 1.500 meters long with meat made the burek 6 meters wide in a giant plate, which was lowered to the Freedom square in Tuzla by a crane.
Bosnian burek is an inevitable part of the nutrition of citizens, tradition and gastronomic offer.
Chefs who participated in the making of the giant burek want to encourage citizens to buy more domestic products and to build up the future of their country in that way.
- By buying homemade products we are strengthening the economy, we are making new workplaces, and at the end, our products are better than imports in 90 percent of the cases - explained chefs.
Burek was given to the citizens and numerous services which are available to citizens every day.
It will be known if the burek made it into the Guinness book of records, and the largest Burek made in Ljubljana, which was 5.5 meters wide, didn't make.
