The snow that fell yesterday caught the Montenegro as well. Almost one meter of snow fell yesterday in Lukavica near Niksic and the locals were left snowed in, firefighters had to come for some to help them. The photo of students on the trip is the best proof how bad the weather was, their bus slid down the road in the north of Montenegro.

Rajko Filipovic from Zagarac, who is with his family, is on Lukavica, 30 kilometers from Niksic, hopes that the roads will be cleared soon.

- I spent the entire night near the stove, putting woods in the fire, and I watched for sheep from the wolves. The bad weather sometimes caught me in the mountains, but I don't remember the weather like this.

- It was a disaster. The blizzard stopped around midnight, and the sun was up this morning. Everything was frozen so I can step on the surface of it and I can visit the cattle. So far everything is fine - said Filipovic to "Vijesti" in a phone call.

With him are his wife and two underage children of 14 and 16 years old, who came to spend the weekend with their father.

- The oldest son and the neighbor tried to reach us yesterday, but they got stuck, so the firefighters saved them. It all ended up well, our friends tried to reach us but they couldn't due to the blizzard, snow, and wind. We have to stay here until the road is clear because I can't leave the cattle. We live from it.

- There is no moving around until the road is clear - said the man from Zagarac.

Around 80 cm of snow fell on Lukavica and an entire meter in some places.

A lot of houses lost electricity, which was solved.

CAUTION ON THE MOUNTAIN ROADS IN SERBIA

Roads in the lower regions are dry, while in higher mountainous areas, due to the snow falling on the previous day, the roads are wet, and the roads could be slippery -  announced by the Car-Moto Association Of Serbia.

The drivers are advised to have more caution behind the wheel and to adjust the speed to the conditions on the road. According to the latest information from the Public Company "Roads of Serbia", there is no delay at toll stations.
