Big storm has flooded Dubrovnik: The entire city was under water (PHOTO) (VIDEO)

The rain that was falling in the Dubrovnik area has grown into a heavy rainfall during the day which caused problems in traffic and it flooded the streets.

The water broke out of manholes in multiple parts of the city, the main street in Old Town - Stradun, was flooded.

Heavy rain and flooded streets inspired a Czech tourist to organize a "race around Orlando" and to swim in Stradun, which is said to have become a pool due to heavy rain.

The firefighters cleaned the clogged drains and they said they will be under control when the rain calms down.

Local media said that the cars are going through the torrents of water, and waterfalls have been going down the stairs in the central part of the city.

Meteorologists do not have good news for Dubrovnik because the rain will fall again tonight, and it is expected that bad weather will continue until the end of the week, which will be a serious burden for the Dubrovnik sewage system.
