They walked for 9 days in order to bow to the saint
Pilgrims from Kotor Varos, Dragan Trivunovic and Jadranko Sebic, arrived at the Monastery Ostrog after nine days of walking, to bow to the remains of the Saint Basil of Ostrog.
The two brave men crossed over 400 kilometers on foot.
Trivunovic walked to the Monastery for the second time, mentioning that it wasn't easy dealing with all the challenges, although he knew what he can expect on this walk.
- I had a high fever at the beginning and it stuck with me for three days, I was tempted by the same thing the first time. Thank god, I had no more significant problems after - said Trivnunovic.
He added that he started his journey to pray for his family, relatives, godfathers, and friends and to thank the God for children in Kotor Varos, his greatest fortune.
He praised Sebic, who got a lot of calluses, and he had problems with his wrist, at the end, he caught a cold.
- He felt stronger pain every day, but the desire and religion were stronger than anything so he reached to St Basil - said Trivunovic.
Sebic arrived at Ostrog Monastery on his birthday.
- This was a journey of pain, tears, blood, and sweat, but also of great spiritual pleasure. It;s not easy to walk for 9 days with equipment, to sleep wherever, to walk on mountains with the pain, but thank God, we made it - said Sebic and he mentioned that he dedicated this journey to Vanja Pejakovic, to make a quick recovery.
Support came from all sides to these pilgrims and they are grateful to all the people who helped. After all, they have only one desire, to make a pilgrimage a tradition and to go each year to the monastery Ostrog to receive a blessing.
