Spanovic: Everything was as planned (PHOTO)
The sixth day of the world championship was marked by cold and rainy weather in London. Qualifications for long jump were held in the evening hours. 30 athletes started in two qualification rounds, and 12 of the best went to the finals.
Ivana Spanovic managed to reach the finals with only one jump, although she did not jump the 6,70 meters requirements.
The four of them had a jump over 6.60m, and our Ivana Spanovic was among them. In the first series, she jumped 6.62 meters and decided to withdraw from the competition. It was enough for Ivana to be in the World Championship finals.
- Due to extremely difficult weather conditions, I knew that the 6.60m jump would certainly be enough for the finals. After the routine first jump of 6,62m, I told Ivana to withdraw from the field. All the main competitors went to the finals - said the coach Goran Obradovic.

- It was very cold and I'm extremely pleased that I entered the finals with one performed jump, as we planned. There is a special preparation for me before the finals which will be on Friday at the same time - said Ivana after qualifications.
