The fires that hit Dalmatia and Montenegro in the past few days have caused so much smoke that it could be seen from the space by NASA, and the sight is scary, HINA reported.

This shot was taken yesterday in the moment when fires were burning by Benkovac and Vransko Lake, from where an upper trail of smoke has risen, while the lower and bigger trail was caused by the fire in Split area.
There was a fire in Montenegro at the same time, not far from the natural reserve Solila in the Tivat bay.
80 firefighters and civilians were injured in the fire in Split area, according to the HINA information.
Emergency evacuation center in Spaladium Arena was organized last night in the case of injuries or in the need of evacuation. A total of 11 people sought refuge, eight of them were foreigners.
The situation on fire around Split is still unchanged - hundreds of firefighters from almost all parts of Croatia are fighting against fire, and Canadair arrived this morning around 7 AM to help them.
County Fire and Operational Center announced that they will send special announced regarding the fire to the media, which so far destroyed 4.500 hectares of Pine forests, olives, low vegetation, plants, and vehicles also burned, homes, business facilities.
It is still not certainly known what is the cause of these fires, even though it is known how much damage it caused, and how many firefighters are participating in the extinguishing.
Even though locals point on the possibility that the fires could be intentional, Split police say that they can't talk about the causes yet.
- The investigation can be performed only when the fire is out. We can't talk about its origin. Police are working on reports from the citizens, and it will show if they are true - said Ana Cepic from Split police for HINA.
Since the wind has calmed, from Tuesday 6 AM, firefighting forces were engaged again in putting out the fires on Split area.
Ministry of Defense said that two Canadairs and two air tractors were sent to the large fire front, which will extinguish the fire on most vulnerable areas.
Planes in the Split-Dalmatia country, Sibenik-Knin and Zadar counties, did 74 hours of flying and dropped 3.500 tons of water yesterday.
Members of the Croatian Land Forces were hired to put out the fire in the previous night in rocket base Zrnovnica and Split city quarters Kamen and Kila, and they have been on patrol since... Also, another 286 members of the Croatian Land Military were deployed, who are located in Lora and Divulja.
