Passengers jumped out of the roof of overturned bus. The investigation has shown that the cause of the accident was fatigued driver?

Jerzi Szjean Nijekivich (50) one of the three drivers of the tourist bus from Poland, died on the spot when a vehicle driving 50 passengers came crashing down beside the highway in Feketic, and it tipped to it's side. More than 30 people were injured.

According to the first information, as we wrote yesterday, the cause of the accident were most likely sharp objects on the road that pierced the tire of two year old bus, driven by an experienced driver.

On the other hand, as the source of the investigation states that there were no noticeable traces of braking on the road and that the cause of the accident was the most possibly the tired driver, reports Informer.

- I don't know exactly what happened, i thought that the driver fell asleep by the wheel and he drove off the road. Things started falling on us and we had to go out of the bus through the roof opening. Most of us are going to the high school, but there were also adults. I am fine now, i have no pains, the worst is over - said Konrad Gomrak, one of the injured passengers.

There were married couples and older people in the bus besides teenagers.

Injured people were visited by Vladimir Rebic in Vrbas, head of the police and said that the Ministry of Internal affairs is in contact with Polish Embassy in Belgrade and that police will do everything to provide best possible health protection.
