- Due to this development, in my opinion, it would not be justified that Turkey, within the framework of NATO missions, increases its troops in the Balkans - he stressed.

Currently, Austria is represented with around 700 soldiers in NATO peace missions in the Balkans within the Partnership for Peace Program.

Because of the criticism from Vienna at the expense of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's policy, Ankara blocks Austria's further involvement in the Partnership for Peace program, it could lead to the reduction of Austrian soldiers, and there are indications that Turkey will try to fill these "holes", "Velt" indicates.

Doskozil appealed to Germany and other countries to increase their engagement in the region, as Turkey's greater influence is not in the interests of Europeans.

Turkey is trying to expand its political influence with majestic renovations of the mosques in Banja Luka, Sarajevo, Prizren and Pristina, or as a major investor in Bosnia and in southern Serbia, the paper said.
