The Croats made a shocking decision: "There are no basis for the board with the Ustasha greeting to be removed from Jasenovac"

There are no legal basis for removing the disputed memorial plaque raised to members of the HOS in the center of Jasenovac, with the carved Ustasa greeting "Ready for homeland", the Ministry found, the agencies today reported. Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic, however, denied these allegations in a statement to regional television N1.

As the media announced today, the decision is the Ministry's response to the interpellation of the most influential opposition SDP. The answer to the SDP has already been written, and the Minister of Administration Lovro Kuscevic will once again agree with Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic.

- There are false information about the government's decision that the HOS board with the inscription "Ready for homeland" will remain in Jasenovac - Prime Minister Plenkovic said in Brussels, regional N1 TV reported.

Asked if this board should remain there, Plenkovic replied:

- I said everything in the interview the other day. This is a topic we need to talk to with all the partners in the government. In the interview, I said everything, read it. When it is a topic in the European Council, then we will talk about it, Plenkovic said.

Vecernji List reported earlier that the Ministry of Administration found that there was no legal basis for removing the disputed memorial plaque raised to members of the HOS in the center of Jasenovac, with the carved Ustasa greeting "Ready for homeland".

Croatian Vecernji List writes that meetings with veterans' associations will be held on the topic of the disputed memorial plaque in the following days.

The proposal of the Ministry of Administration's reply is based on the study of the legislation that, according to the source of Vecernji List from the government, does not foresee sanctions for expressing a greeting "Ready for homeland". While the legislation is not changed, the same source explains, there is no point in the law that the disputed memorial plaque set up last November to be removed from Jasenovac.

But, as he states, anyone who thinks this board insults his feelings can bring a lawsuit to the court.
