RIOTS IN MACEDONIA: Chaos on the streets is not stopping, 50.000 people in front of Sobranie, 45 injured (PHOTO) (VIDEO)

Most of the Macedonian Parliament consisting of SDSM Zoran Zaev and Albanian parties, elected Talat Xhaferi as President of Parliament after the termination of the session, and supporters of the movement "For the common Macedonia" broke into the building of the Sobranie (Parliament), where they were prevented to climb the stairs by the security, where the members of the parliament are, reports the Agencies. A senior official of VMRO-DPMNE Antonio Milososki accused SDSM leader Zoran Zaev that he "creates a parallel majority" in parliament.

00:10 - The director of the Clinic for Surgical Diseases "Sveti Naum Ohridski" (City Hospital) Jasminka Cabukovska told the agency that total of 45 people were injured at the Assembly, including three police officers and security guards. 

00:05 - Macedonian police cleared the building of Sobranie, the lights are shut down in it, and the members of the police erected metal barricades around the building at all entrances of the parliament, reports MIA.

It is alleged that the Macedonian Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that the check is performed in working areas of the parliament if there are still people who need medical attention.

MIA reports that citizens are gathered in front of the Sobranie, but the situation is calm.

23:50 - The citizens of Macedonia, who have been protesting for months against the possibility of SDSM Zoran Zaev forming a new government with Albanian parties, will be spending the night in front of the Sobranie building. 

According to Skopje media estimates, more than 50,000 people are in front of the Sobranie, and the citizens from multiple Macedonian cities will be joining them during the night.

23:40 - Prime Minister and newly elected President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic spoke tonight with leaders in the region on the situation in Macedonia, and in those discussions they concluded that calm the situation only possible solution.

Vucic talked with the leader of VMRO-DPMNE Nikola Gruveskim, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and Chairperson of Albanian Parliament Ilir Meta, reports Pink.

"The conclusion of the joint conversation is that the calming of the current situation is the only possible solution."

23:30 - Riots in Macedonia could easily erupt into ethnic conflict between Macedonians and Albanians, said the political - military analyst Zoran Dragisic.

- This is the last blow that, I fear, Macedonia will not be able to withstand. It was a question when will happen something like this happen, which will introduce Macedonia into agony. I'm afraid that it will be difficult for them to find a solution after something like this - said Dragisic for Pink.

He says that one should not expect much from the army and police in calming the situation as it is multi ethnic.

23:20 - The US Embassy in Skopje condemned the events in the Macedonian parliament and called for calm, non-violence and respect for the rule of law.

- We strongly condemn the violence in parliament. This is not consistent with democracy and unacceptable way to resolve differences - said in a statement posted on the Facebook page of the Embassy.

23:05 - Tonight, just after 22 hours, the first time since the outbreak of chaos in the Macedonian parliament, special Police forces launched a campaign of repression of citizens in front of the Sobranie, and stun grenades explosions could be heard. You can see the video of the conflict HERE.

Police will not allow anyone to enter the parliament building. The sirens of the ambulance can be heard constantly, reports TV Nova.

22:55 - Macedonian Ministry of Internal Affairs  announced that evacuation of the remaining members of the local parliament is in progress, reports MIA.

- The evacuation of the remaining members of the parliament is taking place in the Sobranie or Republic of Macedonia, and the injured member Zijadiin Sela was evacuated from Sobranie and transferred to the Emergency center with a special vehicle - in the statement.

By 20:43 hours, members of the special unit that entered the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia evacuated 30 members, statement of Macedonian Interior Ministry, reports MIA.

22:20 - Macedonian President Gjorge Ivanov said that only the people can settle down the situation.

He invited the leaders of all parliamentary parties in his cabinet tomorrow to find a solution to the new situation. He did not decide to introduce a state of emergency.

21:55 - The President of the Government and the elected President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic has called for calming the situation in Macedonia.

21:30 - The President of the Democratic Party of Serbs in Macedonia Ivan Stojiljkovic said that there was a "coup attempt" in the Assembly and that the situation escalated because of the intonation of the Albanian national anthem.

- I am not surprised by what happened, at some point there was Macedonian anthem in the Assembly, and then Albanian in the next. For singing the Albanian anthem, the situation became very tense, it had to escalate - said Stoilkovic.

21:00 - VMRO-DPMNE leader and former Prime Minister of Macedonia Nikola Gruevski called for soberness and cooling of passions on Facebook, reports MIA. - Violence is not a solution and it is necessary to calm passions. I appeal to sanity. People should not succumb to provocations of SDSM and of those who want to push the country deeper into crisis and to fulfill their plans. It is necessary to calm passions. VMRO-DPMNE will oppose these anti-state actions of SDSM with legal and political means - said Gruevski on this social network.

20:50 - MIA states that Macedonian flags have been placed on the first floor of Sobranie. 20:42 - Zijadin Sela, deputy of the Alliance of Albanians, has been seriously injured, according to local media.

There hasn't been this much tension since 2001. The choice is illegitimate, Assembly was interrupted around 18 h and the president was elected in the lobby , one of the former commanders of the Kosovo Liberation Army.

19:00 - With the votes of the Social Democrats and Albanian parties, Talat Xhaferi was elected President of the Assembly with fierce indignation by the members of VMRO-DPMNE, Macedonian media reported. The irregular election of occurred when the chairman of the Sobranie Trajko Veljanovski stopped the Sobranie session, and the election of the new Parliament President was not even in the agenda.

However, the presidency was then taken over by the oldest MP in the hall that put the election of the President of Sobranie on the agenda with the votes of the members of SDSM and Albanian parties, and then Xhaferi was elected, reports the agencies.

Immediately after the elections of Xhaferi President of Parliament, MPs of VMRO-DPMNE began to shout: "This is a coup," while a large number of supporters of this party was in front of the building.

According to MIA, the situation in the Assembly was tense, and that "irregular voting for parallel chairman" was performed after Veljanovski announced termination of the session, but MPs of SDSM Zoran Zaev and ethnic Albanian parties DUI remained in the hall, where they are still MPs of VMRO-DPMNE, Agency reports.
